Eric Johnson

Eric Johnson co-founded Johnson Insurance Group Inc in 2000. He has more than 29 years experience in the Insurance Industry. He graduated from Belmont Abbey College with a Business Management Degree and is a Major in the North Carolina Air National Guard for
over 38 years.
Eric runs his business by the Air Force Core Values; Service before Self, Integrity and Excellence in all we do… Eric specializes in personal lines as well as business management. The most important thing to Eric is “providing the best customer service to our clients.”
He is married to his wife Stephanie and together they have 3 children, 6 grandchildren. In his spare time Eric loves to spend time in the outdoors fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.
Cliff Johnson
Vice President | Co-founder
Cliff started his Insurance career back in 1993. In 2000, he co-founded Johnson Insurance Group in Gastonia. He specializes in Commercial Insurance. For 29 years he has committed himself to assembling a great team to work on behalf of our customers and to provide the best customer
service experience possible.
Cliff is from Belmont NC and has been married for 39 years to his high school sweetheart Terry McCuen Johnson. Together they have 2 children and 6 grandchildren. He proudly served in the NC Air National Guard.
He is very active in his church serving on the pastor’s council along with playing Bass and Keyboard in the church band. In his spare time he enjoys the outdoors fishing and hunting and riding his grandchildren on Papa’s tractor.
Chris Johnson
Principal Agent | Vice President of Sales
Chris Johnson joined the team at Johnson Insurance Group full time in 2007. Being raised around an
“insurance office” with his Dad (Eric), he saw from an early age the importance of a comprehensive insurance plan and the value of a local insurance professional.
As a combat veteran of the US Air Force, Chris brings integrity, high energy, hard work, expertise and detailed service to everyone he serves. Chris specializes in personal lines, small business and life insurance. As an award winning insurance professional, Chris uses his knowledge and foresight to proactively address details and customer concerns before they become a problem.
He graduated from Belmont Abbey College with a degree in Business Administration. Chris resides in Gastonia with his wife Natalie, 2 children Madilyn & Nathan, 2 dogs Bella & Oakley and a cat named Lulu.
Jon Stutts
Agent
Jon has over 5 years of experience as a licensed insurance agent. Jon states “Giving excellent customer service is a vital key to being successful in this business.” He grew up in Locust, NC and has lived in North Carolina his whole life.. His Dad was a Marine and Charlotte Police Officer. He currently reside in Belmont with his wife and dog.
Jon is a huge fan of the Panthers, Hornets and Tar Heels. He loves watching football, basketball and baseball. He is a big fan of pro wrestling. He enjoys playing rec league basketball and flag football.
Jon is at his happiest when he is spending time with his wife and dog. They take their pup everywhere they go. Family is a big part of his life. He enjoys grilling out on the weekends during the Panthers season. Jon and his wife love going on cruises. He likes old school 70s, 80s and 90s music. His favorite band is Fleetwood Mac.
Anjelica Cunningham
Agent
Anjelica brings over 10 years of experience as a licensed insurance agent to Johnson Insurance Group. Growing up in her mother’s insurance agency, Anjelica learned at a young age how to serve a client and take care of them. Anjelica states, “My goal is to make sure everyone I come in contact with, leaves with a smile on their face!”
When not at work, Anjelica can be found riding horses, at the softball field or spending time with her family outdoors. Anjelica resides in Cherryville with her fiancée Dillon and 2 children Lilly and Eric.
Harriet Keller
Customer Service Representative
Harriet started with the Johnson Insurance Group in October 2017. She is a graduate of Ashbrook High School. Before coming to Johnson Insurance Group worked in several different customer service and call center related jobs where she brings over 30 years of experience to the agency.
Harriet loves working with our clients. The feeling at the end of the day knowing you helped someone with their needs makes it all worthwhile.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her three grandchildren. Also she enjoys to line dance and shag.
Mindy Mulligan
Customer Service Representative
Mindy is the newest member to Johnson Insurance Group. Originally from Massachusetts, she has worked in different personal and commercial insurance roles and brings a wealth of insurance knowledge to the group. She has an Associates Degree and loves spending time outdoors and at the beach.
